i am the proud mum of 2 ds' the youngest being only 4 weeks and the oldest 6 next month. however after suffering with pnd after my first pregnancy i didnt cope with motherhood and i didnt enjoy it. resulting in the huge age gap.
i know its early days but this time i feel wonderful i am enjoying motherhood again and really really want another baby.
i had a cs this time and was worried about the 'right' time to leave between pregnancies.
i was also wondering if having them this close together would be too soon. will my ds' suffer? will i cope?
basically i suppose i am asking wether or not i shud try again so soon after giving birth?
do any of you have any experiences of this?

thanks

Not that I wanted to but I was told I should wait at least a year before trying for another baby after a section. I had a very straight forward section so I guess that was the average time they said you should wait to let your body recover and heal preoperly (cause remember that it'll take a lot longer to heal internally than externally). Don't forget you'll have the uterine scar and even after me waiting for 3 years before my second child was born, they were very into monitoring the labour in case of rupturing. They don't let you push for more than an hour normally. They would have whipped me in for a CS if there was any hint of a rupture.
Could you chat to your HV or midwife about another and when would be the right time to try again? You'll also have hormones rushing around if your DS is only 4 weeks which may make you think differently in a couple of weeks! About a month ago, I was begging my DH for another baby but today nothing could be further from my mind!
Sorry 0 don't mean tosound like I'm putting you off - it might be fine health wise to try for another and if you feel ok to do it, then you should. What does your DP think?
