I was 14 - found out when I went for the 12 week scan that they could not fit me in for at 12 weeks. Have you had a scan yet?

lucykate · 07/03/2007 12:40

i was 11 weeks, i'd had bleeding from the start and already had 2 scans, and seen a heartbeat at the 8 week one. just before the 12 week one i started to feel ill rather than pg, then had period pains but no bleeding for a few days. had another scan at local epau, to be told the heart had stopped. i had a d&c the next day.

DeviousDaffodil · 07/03/2007 12:48

I was 13 weeks, similar to you.
I don't think you will ever stop worrying, even after the scan.
Sure it will be fine though. I had 2 successful pg's after my missed miscarriage.

lucykate · 07/03/2007 12:50

forgot to say, i now have a lovely ds, if i hadn't have m/c, we wouldn't have him

petrified · 07/03/2007 12:51

I am sure it will be fine. Keep us posted. Good luck.

I was 12 weeks but the baby stopped growing at 6 or 7 weeks. Didn't find out til my 12 week scan, so was devastated.

I'm pg again (7 + 1 weeks) and have had a bit of bleeding today along with very mild period pain type cramps. I'm terrified it's a repeat of what happened last time. Had pinky brown discharge when I wipe after going to the loo (sorry if TMI), then it changed to EWCM with streaks of blood in. Not heavy, and only occurs when I wipe.
Went to GP this afternoon but - bloody typical - no bleeding at all when she examined me!
Got an appointment at EPU tomorrow morning for a scan, so please keep your fingers crossed for me. I'm bracing myself for the worst though

Hi honey2theb, same as you. I was 13 weeks and baby stopped growing at 7.

That was my first pregnancy. I went on to be the very proud mother of 2 excuisite dds .

I'm sure you're scan will be wonderful and a huge weight off of your shoulders. All the best

Abwab · 07/03/2007 21:29

LadyOfTheFlowers · 07/03/2007 21:30

i found out at ten weeks that the baby had dies at 6.

cupcakes · 07/03/2007 21:33

12 weeks, at the scan.
Am very glad to say that I got pg again 4 weeks later (!) and now have beautiful 12 week old dd2.

treacletart · 07/03/2007 21:49

I had a missed mc at 11 weeks, baby had stopped growing at 10. I conceived again a month after ERPC and I'm now 18 weeks pregnant - and have been feeling a lot calmer in the last few weeks.

Tiggerish · 07/03/2007 21:58

honey2theb - when I was in your situation (ie pg after m/c) my GP all but told me to go to the local EPU with a sob story about bleeding/pains etc. If you sound convincing they will scan you anyway. She appreciated the stress involved in the uncertainty. EPU were great and I reckon they knew why I was really there

naturelover · 08/03/2007 16:34

I started bleeding at 11 weeks and when they scanned me sure enough the baby had probably died at about 7-8 weeks. Had taken us almost a year to conceive so this was utterly heartbreaking. BUT, I conceived much more quickly second time around (took 3 months) and my GP referred me for scan at 7 weeks "to confirm heartbeat". All was well. And at 13 week scan we saw that everything was OK. I'm now at 15 weeks and have stopped worrying. Can feel the baby move and I generally feel so much calmer. I feel lucky to have such a supportive GP who realised that if I didn't have an early scan I'd be worried sick until 13 week scan. Having one at 7 weeks definitely helped me. Best of luck.

kittywaitsfornumber6 · 08/03/2007 17:22

Honey, my first was at 12 weeks when I started bleeding and baby had died at about 6 weeks. Others I've had have been earlier at 7-9 weeks. I don't think I've ever really relaxed in any of my sucesful pregnancies since having miscarriages. But once I can feel the baby move regularly it is reassurance on a day to day basis.
