3 days late, negative preg test

Forgot to start new pill packet after break while very ill in bed with flu. Decided to give myself a clear month, rather than starting back on after a couple of weeks' break. (Don't know if there is any medical recommendation for this but it seemed right to me) Have been careful during this time but period was due on Thursday past and so far nothing. Took two pregnancy tests today, both negative. Have always had a 28 day cycle, even off the pill. What else could be going on? Could I be pregnant even with two negative tests?

I have always been regular even post pregnancy and post pills, but when I came off the pill before getting pregnant I didn't get a period for around 6 weeks. Even if it hasn't messed up with your cycles before it still can. Test again in a week or so to make sure.

Thank you for sharing your experience. The thought of waiting a week seems impossible. But what else can I do I suppose... thanks for replying.
