Hi it's my first time here and wondered if anyone can help and give advice as think I may be pregnant but after numerous negative home pregnancy tests and a trip to the drs still negative. Although I'm feeling pretty pregnant ........I think x x

Sorry am new at this lol

So I am 11 days late and never ever miss a period, I had slight cramping before I was due on, and on day 8 had heavy bleeding but only for 3 days ( my period normally lasts for 7-9 days.) I still have slight pain down the sides and also my legs have started to ache ?? I have taken 6 pregnancy tests and all but one was negative, the positive was a very very faint positive. Also went to the drs today for him to say prob a miscarriage and also spthe ke to my nurse who said. The same but if pains carry on then to call again. Am also feeling very sick too.

Me and my partner have been trying for 4 years with no success we have both been scanned and tested etc and on my side all good. Any advice would be greatly appreciated x x

sorry but if you are getting negative tests including one at the Dr's at this stage in your cycle his suggests you aren't currently pregnant. 3 days of heavy bleeding followed by negative pregnancy tests does indicate either a period or a miscarriage as has been suggested. did the doctor do a blood test or just urine?

sophiesophie88 · 24/03/2017 16:12

He wouldn't actually do either as just came to the conclusion I had a miscarriage, and when I asked the nurse for a possible blood test she said they don't do that ?? So very confused

Foncy87 · 24/03/2017 18:33

If one of your tests came out positive (no matter how faint) you definitely are or have been pregnant. I would test again in a few days (if you can wait that long) and if it's negative go back to your GP's and demand a blood test as it's more accurate.

My fingers are crossed for you! Flowers

So they do actually do blood tests? The nurse was adamant that they don't hmmmmm. Maybe il call back next week if still feeling the same and maybe ( most prob) do another test. I think I have all the symptoms, back ache, side pains, felling very sick but not actually sick and obviously the late period, the only thing worrying me is the bleeding for 2/3 days, but I have read other blogs that this can happen and people still get negative results up until 10+ weeks and still be pregnant.

So I did three negatives then a positive, then 2 more negatives

I'm sure if you squint hard enough there is definitely a very very faint line in the bottom test,

I can see a faint line on the bottom one! Give this a try- www.google.co.uk/amp/www.todaysparent.com/pregnancy/can-you-tweak-a-pregnancy-test-to-find-out-sooner/amp/.

Good luck!!

Can I advise you to try a Superdrug early test. They're more sensitive than first response (I've lots of photos to prove it). Make sure you use fmu. If you get any pains in the meantime do go to a&e in case its eptopic

sophiesophie88 · 24/03/2017 20:16

Thank you so much for the advice foncy87 I will give it ago, fingers crossed it comes up clearer.

And yes, notwithoutmymerkin I have used the super drug early detection pregnancy test and also clear blue digital. The super drug one was the one which I had a very very slight positive.

And yes if the pains continue I think I will check it out. I wouldn't say I'm double up in pain it's just an annoying ache, and as never been pregnant before ( and fingers crossed I am ) have no clue how it's meant to feel. And also slightly worried about the bleeding whether this is normal or no I have no idea x x thanks again
