Pounding in ears??

Hello all- I'm just over 16 weeks pg and I keep getting really strong pounding in my ears- think it's in time with my heartbeat.
It's worse if I've walked up the stairs, run for the bus etc but starting to happen more often.
Can't find anything about it in any book so just wondering if anyone else has it or had it when pregnant? It's more annoying than painful but I'm going on a plane in a couple of weeks and I don't want anything wrong with my ears.
Could go to GP but don't want to waste their time if it's fairly common. Thanks

It'll most likely be your heartbeat - it's called pulsatile tinnitus. It may be caused by the increased bloodflow that happens during pregnancy.

I has that too. Mine started at 16 weeks, I flew when I was 20 weeks which did not seem to have any noticeable effect. It continued up until I was about 30ish weeks.

Thanks for your replies- glad to know it's not unheard of!

I get this all the time now im pg and think it is also connected to a low BP which is normal in pg.
