Need to tell work

Hello found out im five weeks pregnant after 18 months ttc and awaiting ivf. I work in endoscopy and have spoke to occy health who said i cant be in the room with a scope guide so i need to tell my manager. However shes off today and im in a room tomorrow that noone else can cover. Help

im not sure why you can't carry on as normal, whilst taking the usual precautions though?

I cant be in the same room as the equipment so she needs to alter my off duty

That's odd, most scope guides now don't use radiation and if they do, you should be protecting yourself anyway due to the risks, pregnant or not. Have occupational health got confused? They don't stop radiographers etc from working for 9 months.

Phoned her she was great. She doesnt want me in the rooms at all. I can do other things though. Occy health said defo cant be in the room
