Cyst found in ultrasound scan

Evening all!
I had my 20 week scan today and am so glad all is ok with the baby but am a bit concerned about a cyst found. It was actually found on my 12 week dating scan and was about 7cm-quite a monster, I think. Today the sonographer checked on it and it's still there and the same size. I was hoping it would have shrank at least... I asked if I should be concerned but I didn't think she could answer that, which is totally fair enough as that's the consultant's job.

Has anyone else experienced this?!

I had a cyst in my first pregnancy. It did shrink eventually but can't remember when. I was always told it was nothing to worry about (and I was considered high risk for other reasons). I did have some bleeding and whether or not this was from the cyst was never established. Everything was fine though and my nearly 2 yr old is falling asleep in my arms as I type this. Have you an appointment with a consultant?

I'm seeing a consultant for a separate issue- high risk of pre eclampsia. When I met the consultant a few weeks ago they explained why cysts happen sometimes and i guess we will talk more about it during my next appointment which is the same day as my growth scan. Guess I'm making myself worry for nothing as usual!! Just freaked me out the cyst decided to stick around!
