Maternity wear for tall women

Can anyone recommend anywhere I can find extra long maternity jeans and trousers? I live in London and I'm a size 12-14 with a 36" inside leg. During my last pregnanacy I relied on Topshop but they don't do maternity wear for tall women any more. I know it sounds trivial but it's hard enough to find trousers that fit me when I'm not pregnant!

Hi Littlestar, I'm in a similar position, I've got a 34" inside leg, which isn't too bad, but it's really annoying to have trousers come up an inch short, I wish I could say I had loads of ideas, but I'm banking on the fact that it'll be a bit warmer by the time I'm really in need of maternity and I can get away with cropped trousers (or normal length but cropped on me!) The thing I'm going to do until then is buy normal length maternity clothing in shorter length styles, like culottes or long shorts (around knee length) and wear them with shorts. A little last season I know, but it's about the only thing I can think of. Good luck and if you find anything, let me know!!

I had a look at the Next website but even their extra long trousers are only 33", which means they would be flapping round my mid-calves! And the Long Tall Sally website hasn't had jeans in a 12 or 14 for ages; maybe I should give them a call. If anyone has any other ideas I would love to hear them as I can't imagine not being able to wear trousers for the next few months!

Are you near a Long Tall Sally shop?

If you're handy at sewing, you can take the elastic stretchy bit off a pair of maternity trousers (cheap or second-hand ones if you haven't got any old ones lying around) then cut off a proper long pair of trousers under the bump, and attach the maternity bit. This means you can wear your favourite long trousers - for me, Gap's long ones are the right length.

Sadly I'm rubbish at sewing and daren't even attempt such an ambitious project! Saltire, I am quite near LTS although I haven't been in there for years. Do you think the shop might have a better range than the website?

I had a quick look in the one in Edinburgh last weekend and it had a lot more than the website, plus there is the advantage of being able to try things on

How tall are you if you dont mind me asking ?
As im 6ft 2 and the Next extra long are long enough on me sometimes too long.

I'm 5'11" and my inside leg is about 36". I will definitely give LTS a try, their website put me off a bit.

I usually wear Topshop Tall as their extra long are too short, but I've found Next extra long maternity to be long enough, even though they say 33". I'd say they were more like 35". Unfortunately you can't buy them in the shop, only through the directory. I ordered some the other day through the store (that way you don't have to pay delivery) and tried them on in the shop when they came in. If they are too short then you can just return them. I haven't found anywhere else that does maternity trousers that long. I think tall women aren't suppose to be pregnant!!

I'm 6ft tall, used to go to H&M - good range of maternity wear and lots of it long enough.
