I am going to have a look this evening. Bursting out of my jeans!

What's the quality/fit like?

No, haven't. Don't really shop in Debenhams so didn't occur to me. Will have a look

oh and do go to H&M if you have one
no jeans but some very nice stuff and not eye-wateringly pricey either

Ceolas · 05/03/2007 17:48

H&M yes, but no maternity. I might be able to get to one at Easter though...

Are you wearing yours yet, Mrs B?

not yet, just had a chance to shop so grabbed it!
next size up jeans and longer tops doing very well for the moment

Ceolas · 05/03/2007 18:05

I'll be checking out Next as well. They didn't do maternity when I was last pregnant, I don't think!

Found that the maternity wear in M&P was for when you're HUGE. At least 6 or 7 months I would have thought. I couldn't find anythign suitable in the Regent St store for earlier in pregnancy.

Next stuff is fab. I've bought a load of it.

Ceolas · 05/03/2007 18:09

Well I am well built normally, but not hugely pregnant

I need something nice for a First Communion in May. Not a dress...

I loved m&p maternity clothes - I lived in a pair of their jeans. They are quite pricey, but the quality is good.

Would second TYG that M&P maternity come up quite big so better for later pregnancy (last trimester) rather than 5/6 months. Seem nice enough quality but have never bought so don't know how they wash or wear....

I've only got their 'on the bump' fit jeans and I can honestly say that they are the best maternity jeans I've ever had by far. They're a nice length in the leg (not too long, like in some shops) and they actually stay up! Plus, they are so comfortable I pretty much wear them all of the time. Size wise, they have an adjustable button waistband, so I've just adjusted that as and when I've needed to; not really had any problem with them being too big. I'm 28 weeks now and have been wearing my jeans since before Christmas. Hope this helps!

Ceolas - next have nice black and white stuff that might be suitable. Are you based in Ireland though? They don't deliver there unfortunately.

I bought a lovely top from M&P late in pregnancy when I needed to go to a smart work do - one I wore constantly for the last month of my pregnancy, which was over christmas. In fact it was one of only about two items of maternity clothing that I really genuinely liked. The other was from red herring at Debenhams, that's definitely worth a look.
