line progression worrying....

Here are my lines from 16dpo backward....I'm worried they should be much darker by now and they're not getting considerably darker - anyone have any good stories (or bad as want to be realistic)....

I wouldn't worry but I would stop taking tests! You have a line and you're pregnant. Congratulations. Now put the tests away and enjoy your pregnancy!

Lofari · 16/03/2017 14:06

Clearly pregnant. Stop peeing on sticks and enjoy! 😚

wantingabud · 16/03/2017 14:09

Ha ha thank you both, I know i'm just driving myself silly - I needed that...will try harder not to pee on sticks ;)

Those lines look like great progress to me. Mine got lighter and faded to nothing when the pregnancy wasn't viable, so for 16dpo I'd say you've nothing to worry about. Try not testing anymore and it slowly gets easier. I'm 30 weeks with a different pregnancy now and i got through by reminding myself in those early days i had no bleeding so no reason to worry. Congratulations op :)

McBaby · 16/03/2017 15:03

I don't think the ics get much darker. I had blood taken to test hgc with s light looking lime and it was over 650.

pastabest · 16/03/2017 15:16

Darkness of lines means nothing

I had lovely dark lines with the pregnancy that turned out to be a MMC at 11 weeks

I had very light lines with the pregnancy that resulted in 6 week old DD who is currently farting and screaming (doesn't like the farting sensation) on my lap

wantingabud · 16/03/2017 16:06

Thank you thank you all...sometimes just need the reassurance of those who know :)

I used a load of those tests and tested obsessively for weeks, it took ages for my test line to get as dark as my control line, I'd say your progression looks a lot stronger than mine did.

Personally I found I got stronger results with second morning urine rather than first, I've heard the same from several people.

wantingabud · 20/03/2017 15:09

update at 21dpo...line looks darker but hasn't gotten any darker over 3 days...harrumph...it's stressing me out again yet I can't stop...and also my CB digital said 2-3 weeks (I know goes from time of conception but should be saying 3+now surely)

That's about as dark as my lines got in the internet cheapy strips (and I had a seriously dark string line on my CB test). That's a good strong line. Now put the tests down and step away!!

ethelfleda · 20/03/2017 15:29

In the nicest way - STOP TESTING Smile
You're driving yourself mad!

wantingabud · 20/03/2017 15:30

@lemondrop09 thanks so much that's so reassuring to hear and I will try my best to step away ;)

My IC's also never went any darker than this & I didn't stop until I had a scan at 4 weeks post ov, 6 weeks PG, and a good week later than you are now! I just don't think they go darker that.

Algebraic · 20/03/2017 15:35

No that looks fine and definite progression. I didn't get that with my first pregnancy, and that unfortunately was not viable.

wantingabud · 20/03/2017 16:08

ha thanks @ehtelfleda - I keep saying the same to myself and then I wake up in the morning and get the urge - luckily i am running out of sticks soon and have forbidden myself to order more :)

Thanks @smokymountains that is reassuring to know and also that I'm not totally mad at peeing on sticks every day (although I know I am...I would never have considered even doing that with pregnancy number 1 or even 2...now on 4th pregnancy and still no baby and feel like I can't do anything to reassure myself....and thought this would but it does the opposite ha ha

Thanks @algebraic and I'm sorry re your first pregnancy

Wantingabud...I was peeing on sticks every day for the same reason as you....you just can't get the innocence of that first pregnancy back later on, can you, its so hard & I'm so sorry to hear of your losses. I got there in the end and am praying you will too. Will you be given an early scan ??

wantingabud · 20/03/2017 16:27

No you can't you're right, I had no idea how hard this journey could be. And thank you for your kind words. I am speaking to my NHS doctor tomorrow to see if I can get a scan in the EPU although I also have a private scanned booked on 30th so would be 6+6 so either way will know - it's the not knowing which is almost the worst.

OP posts:
SmokyMountains · 20/03/2017 17:38

I will be thinking of you on the 30th (& hopefully epu will get up an earlier date than this). I found box sets a good way of distracting myself to quieten down my head for an hour or two to give myself a break. Hang in there.

wantingabud · 15/08/2017 14:00

If anyone happens to look at this post wondering what happened, I''m pleased to say that I'm now in my 27th week of pregnancy. Still worry about things but I'm pleased to say that the lines' darkness didn't matter and all was okay.
