HI,
My baby feels like he's trying to get out through my belly button and has hiccups at least 3 or 4 times a day - am I carrying a ready-made drunk around?? He rarely stops moving and it's so tiring and uncomfortable. The mw reckons it's a sign of a healthy baby but often he feels like a maniac scrabbling to get out!
Anyone else's baby the same?
I'm 33 weeks.

my ds constantly had hiccups around that time...they seemed to be especially bad when i was trying to get to sleep!!

ever since he was born, he gets hiccups several times a day...mw says its a way of them getting rid of wind!

i'd worry more if the baby didn't move!

I have to agree with biglips. My ds was very very active & hiccups almost all the time it seemed & he is a little firecracker!!! Since he was born he has been A VERY active & spirited child. Never stops still & mind always active.
This pg - 37 half wks- I've been concerned about lack of / how gentle the movements/kicks have been because i expected the same fierce movements. I expect I'm carrying a more placid child - at least i hope so just for the contrast!!!! Two firecrackers i couldn't handle!!!!
