Has anyone else found that their IBS has got worse? It actually disappeared with DS pregnancy / b.feeding, but it's worse with this pregnancy

My IBS disappeared completely whilst pregnant (although I did get bad constipation instead) but never had any cramps etc which have restarted since giving birth

it vanished in my 1st pregnancy (which was fab!) but i feel awful now- waking up in pain every day.

I'm trying to work out if it is my IBS or some horrible bug I may have picked up from work which is causing my diarrhea atm. Its horrid.

Oh dear Detention - I can imagine how awful that must be - particularly if you have another LO to look after aswell - sympathies to you.

i always just relied on peppermint tea before, which worked wonders. I don't know if the medication you can get is suitable for pregnancy

combined with the general nausea i have, and an 8mth old, i am not having fun!

My IBS was really bad during both my previous pregnancies. I always used to tell my husband that my flair ups felt like contractions. When I was induced with my second baby the midwife asked me if I thought I was having contractions and I said I was getting pains which I put down to IBS, she connected me to the monitor, and it was contractions!!!!!!!!

I'm on 3rd baby now, coming up to 12 weeks, and IBS been pretty bad. I definitely can't take iron supplement, this makes my IBS really bad.

Constipation seems to make my IBS symptoms loads worse. I try and eat fruit and drink LOADS.

My sympathy goes out to all you pregnant IBS girls.
