Sudden sore throat and non-productive cough

Hi all,

Wondering if anyone can help. Over the last 24 hours, I've developed a very painful throat (right about where the groove where your two collar bones meet)... it's very painful when I cough or sneeze. At the moment I am just taking paracetamol and having the occasional ice lolly for the pain... has anyone experienced anything similar? Did you phone/see your GP about it? How long do you give it before speaking to a GP?

Please help!!

Hey! I've actually just got over this, lasted about 4 days. My GP said there was nothing I could take except paracetamol and let it run its course. I found lemon and honey tea helped. Hope you feel better soon
