Reduced movement after hosp visit

I went to the hospital this morning as I felt like the baby hadn't moved as much as normal yesterday afternoon and overnight. They checked heartbeat and everything was fine (baby moved while being checked), I was sent home and told to monitor the movements. I've been laying down a pretty much all day as that's when I feel the baby best, Not sure if I'm just overthinking it now but I still don't feel like the baby is moving as much as it has been. I've had a couple of episode of movement but doesn't feel as strong as normal.

This was me for the past few days. Then just it went to go in today she went back to her normal pattern and gave big kicks. The hospital won't mind at all if you go back! They would rather you be reassured. How many weeks are you?

Phone them back. They can listen to what you're describing and decide if they want to see you. Agree with pp, they'd rather have a false alarm than you not come in when you need to.

I'm 25+1.

This is going to sound super patronising and I apologise but baby is tiny at the moment and can turn away. When I was 25 weeks I was the same. I was sure because she wasn't moving in the same way something dreadful had happened but things are still going well weeks and weeks later.

Yeah I know, the baby was moving on Saturday morning the most I have felt so far could see my belly moving and everything so for the movements to get less got me worried as thought they would be getting stronger now. But as you say it could just be facing the other way.

To be honest only a scan will show if the reduction is from a change in position. Did they tell you to come back if your monitoring didn't show much movement?

Go back.

I like you questioned whether I needed to worry or not but that just made me worry more.

They'd rather reassure you.

I'm 35 weeks and a week ago I wasn't feeling much at all, I thought it may have been a change in position but I didn't want to take the risk so went in.
