Just out of curiosity, do your children look alike? Did they when they were born? I'm pregnant with DD2 and can only imagine her looking identical to baby DD1 who is very dark, lots of dark hair dark eyes etc. My dad keeps teasing me saying DD2 will look like him (blonde blue eyes). I just can't imagine any baby of mine not looking identical to my other baby!

Not remotely! DS1 blue eyed and fair, DS2 brown eyed and dark. They occasionally have a similar look but basically totally different. But friends of mine had second children at same stage and theirs do resemble their firstborns. Just the luck of genetics I suppose. Both outcomes are fun.

I have two boys and a girl. The boys do look alike (and very like DH) whereas DD is more of a mixture of me and DH.

I have 2 ds's and they are like chalk and cheese in both looks and personality.

Wow how interesting! A bit of a daft question I suppose, since I know siblings are rarely identical looking (me and mine for starters!) but I just can't get my head around DD2 not being like seeing DD1 all over again! Will have to update in June! haha

One and two do, three doesn't!

I had ds1 was abit ginger born then went blonde, dd had dark hair born and is now golden blonde and ds2 has beautiful dark red hair so a good mix they all haven't eyes and have a look of each other.

I must have strong genes because my DS1 & DS2 are identical as babies and they have different fathers who look nothing alike

Lol Squirrel. My DH defo has dominant genes (think dark, Aztec descent) and I presumed they would annihilate my blonde pale genes again the same as they did with DD1!

My dp is Asian, but dd could pass for white easily, she looks nothing like dp. Now pg with #2 and we're wondering if this one might be a bit browner!

I'm very dark haired, dark brown eyes. DH blond, blue/green eyes. DS has identical hair & eyes to me, DD has identical hair & eyes to DH! I don't think they look like siblings but others have disagreed. Currently pg with DC3 and wondering if I'll get a little red head thrown in the mix 😁

There are some siblings at DC school who look like twins, despite being a couple of years apart - that always amazes me.

I was wondering this! I'm pregnant with number two and am really hoping this one looks even a little like me! Me and my husband both have dark hair and dark eyes but my daughter is basically his clone. I want one that looks like me this time!

So curious now! Another reason to add to my list of feeling impatient haha

My DD1 is a clone of her daddy (and his sister) too... but I want DD2 to look like her sister cos I can't get my head around them not looking the same! #crazyladypregnancyhormones

I have a boy and a girl and they do look alike. DS just a bit more 'big boned' but very similar colouring and features. They both look like DH!

My son is tall with blonde hair
My daughter is average height with brown hair
They look similar but not enough that it would be obvious they were bro & sis.
Pregnant with third so I wonder who she will look like!

All my four have similar eyes, three of them have exactly the same hair colour and you can certainly tell they are related. To me only two of them DC2 and DC4 really look alike, although everyone else says they are clones. However looking at pictures of them at the same age they are all very similar.
When they were born DC1and DC4 had very dark hair and DC2 and DC3 were ginger.
I have really dark hair and DH is ginger. I thought dark hair was a dominant gene but none of them have dark hair now, one is very ginger and the other three are a slightly reddish, light brown.

You can tell mine are siblings but dc1 and 2 have very similar colouring and brown eyes, were both bald babies. Dc3 has blue eyes, different hair colour, less olive skinned and was born with masses of beautiful hair. She's more like my side of the family and the other 2 are more like their dad.

Ha, this thought never crossed my mind (pg with DC2) just assumed 2nd one would be a clone of my DS! This pregnancy is feeling very different so after a blonde haired, blue-eyed boy maybe I'll have a dark-haired girl! Genetics are interesting!

My DC - one DS, one DD - are virtually identical. Everyone comments on it. They're mixed race but 3/4 white so they have green/grey/hazel eyes (both have exactly the same colour eyes!), dark blonde Afro texture hair and light caramel skin. I'd say DD is probably a shade darker. They're so similar it's a bit bonkers. Strangers comment on it!

Currently 37 weeks pregnant with DC 3 - another girl so DD2 - so it'll be interesting to see if she breaks the mould or not.

I wondered the same thing during my entire second pregnancy my first born son has really pale skin blue eyes red hair gave birth a couple days ago to my second son and he has dark skin black hair and brown eyes completely different but im quite pale and there daddy has the dark genes

DD1 is blonde with blue eyes, like DH, and was the spit of him when a baby. As she's got older she's got more of my features.
DD2 is only a week old but born with a full head of dark brown hair and brown eyes like me. That was a surprise as I was blonde as a young child so assumed any child of mine would be blonde, at least as a baby.
