Hey guys,

34 + 2 weeks, had surgery for a cyst back in 2012, scar healed nicely.

However, upon inspecting my pubic area today I've noticed this!

Wtaf is happening to me!

Quality is crap however I had to zoom in otherwise you'd have been exposed to my lady garden & trust me, you wouldn't want to see that.

Please help me!

Are you still under a consultant for the cysts? Id give either my midwife a ring or my doctor just to check its normal Flowers try not to panic and call in the morning

Ones at the bottom of pic look like stretch marks..... hard to tell though. Your skin might be tighter there because of the surgery so stretching more than other areas. Maybe get mw to take a look if it's worrying you.

My scars on my abdomen were the first places I got stretch marks.

Pastaagain78 · 05/03/2017 22:38

Looks like fresh stretch marks to me.

Toocleverformyowngood · 05/03/2017 22:43

Sad ffs, I thought having them on my stomach was bad enough now it looks like I've been cut several times & it's bloody scarred!

It honestly looks horrendous! As if I didn't have enough reasons for hating that area, now I have one more.

I wish I could, I honestly feel so guilty for despising my body rather than looking at it as it's helping my baby!

I just find new flaws & then have a meltdown wondering how the hell im going to get rid of it.

I wasn't too sure if it was stretch marks as it hadn't actually stretched as such however first baby, so I've no idea!

I got the same on pre-existing scars, it's totally harmless and normal. They stayed brown the whole pregnancy and faded back afterwards. Its a increase in melanin - you produce lots whilst pregnant so your nipples darken, to create contrast between them and your boob to help your baby see them. However, this is not selective and will sometimes affect scars - it also means you'll tan easier! However, I am not a doctor and if it worries you, check with your GP

Joffmognum · 05/03/2017 23:56

Have your nipples darkened yet? If so it's almost definitely just melanin.

Toocleverformyowngood · 06/03/2017 00:49

My nipples are insanely dark, have been for bloody ages.

Honestly didn't know any of this, feel like a right idiot now!

They will fade to hardly noticeable. Just use lots of bio oil after babies born and they go quite quickly. My stomach looks like a road map at the mo but not too bothered as they will fade soon enough. Xx
