Are acrylic nails safe?

I've read conflicting advice so wondered what everyone's thoughts were on acrylic nails? If I'm in a large well ventilated room, is it safe to still get my nails done? I'm 5 weeks pregnant with our first so all very new to me x

Can't see why not? I've been getting gels done regularly through this pregnancy.

My nail girl is pregnant at the moment so I'd assume it was safe

I did my own gels for my whole pregnancy with DC1 and he is fine - one head, ten fingers, ten toes etc... I've continued in this pregnancy too. I'm sure it's fine - if you're concerned then you could always ask your midwife what they think?
