Hi everyone

I am 6 weeks pregnant now and for the last few days have had a little pain, sort of crampy persistent niggle low on the left side of my abdomen.
I have just been thinking that it's my body adjusting but after reading up a bit i'm TERRIFIED incase it's an ectopic!!(Sometimes i think i read too much).

I have my booking in App at the Docs on Tuesday but i thought i'd get some good advice here.

Can you all remember the niggles????
Is it pretty normal????

I don't know much about etopic but a couple of frinds have had them adn they were really painful, much more than a niggle.
I had lots of niggles with both pg, which were in my case were risky. I think the best thing you can do is put your feet up and relax. I found worrying about it only made it worse.
Let us know when they pass, and tc x x

I had the same pains until I was about 3 months, I was terribly worried as well but it turned out to be nothing, just my body changing. Somedays they were really sore but now (I'm 19weeks) I don't get them at all.

Try to relax as I found they got worse the more I did.

Congratulations!

I had aches and these were nothing to worry about, as my Dr put it they are just 'moving pains' as bits get moved around, squashed, adjusting to you being pregnant. She said I would know the difference between an ache and a pain to worry about.

I was worried re etopic as my sister had to have emergency op, but the Dr also said this only/usually occured if you have had a past infection (thrush not counting) which I later found that my sis had had.

congrats

I had lots of aches and pains early on - stitch like and crampy. Pretty sure this is all normal stretching and moving. As others have said, ectopic pregnancy pain is very painful so I think you would know if something was that wrong.
We all worry all the way through, it's human nature, but it sounds like your pains are normal.

Congratulations!

I had the same and was terrified that my period was about to start. As others have said, it's just various bits moving and stretching and the only other time we feel a similar sort of pain is when we have our periods. I still get odd pains (am 25 weeks) but now just assume the baby is having a bit of a growth spurt and things are stretching again.

From what I hear, ectopic pregs are much more painful, but, as always, if in doubt, do ask your GP.

Look after yourself and take it easy!

Thanks everyone. Feel very re-assured already

I have a dd aged 3.5 but it's truly amazing how quickly you forget about things!

Anyway, took it easy this morn and am now doing the ironong. DP has dd out at the library and then the museum. Bless him!
