Hi everyone,

I may be overthinking this but I really need some friendly advice!

I'm 29+6 weeks pregnant and for about two hours I've had sharp pains in my lower back- not shockingly sharp, but like menstrual pain and twinges. I've called the hospital and they told me to take two paracetamol, give it an hour and if it's still there then give them a call back and I may have to go in. They said it could be the start of a UTI but I have no other symptoms of one. I've had two thus far in this pregnancy but I was checked last week and urine is fine (there's no pain passing it or anything). Since that phone call (about 25 minutes) I've had sort of brown/orange discharge (not a lot) when I went to the loo, and I'm not sure if I should be worried?
I'll take the paracetamol when DP gets back from the shops with it, but if the pain's still there in an hour should I be pushy when I call back (given the discharge)? I have also had diarrhoea for a week (doctors appointment for that later) which concerned my mum, as she said that's not normal?

Any advice would be appreciated Sad

Any coloured discharge should be reported to your midwife.

I can't get through to my midwife, I was told to contact the hospital if I needed I speak to a midwife.

Call the hospital. Is baby moving?

Notanotherpawpatrol · 28/02/2017 11:47

Call the hospital, things have changed. It's no longer just pain it's blood. You need to be checked over
