Confused 😞

Hi I'm new to this, me and my partner have been trying to conceive for 17months now but it's seems to be taking a while, I did a pregnancy test on 24th and it got what looks like a very very faint line, my partner can also see it, is this a faint positive or an evap line and what is an evap line?? Sorry to sound so daft 😂🙈 any help would be really appreciated 🙂

Sorry but from that pic it looks negative to me, was the 24th the first day your period was due? If you can see a faint line do another test tommorow morning first thing (first pee of the day is strongest hormones). Good luck

If you go to the picture and edit it to negative it should show the lines more cleary- I think.

I has never heard of evaporation lines either. Looks pregnant to me!

I would try with a pink dye test like first response. Unfortunately I got false positives with blue dye tests and wouldn't trust them. Fingers crossed you are

Try a digital test, no faffing about with lines!

Use a pink dye such as a FRER or a digital. Clearblue blue dye are nortorious for dodgy results.

I did another test it's another clear blue as that's the one my partner got for me and it's defiantly a negative, I'm so devastated 😢

When is your period due? I got an evap line with that then lots of negatives, eventually after convincing myself I wasn't pregnant I got a faint positive with FRER 2 days before my period was due. However even with early response tests some people don't get + until after they are due on. There's still hope 😊

My period is due any day now, I don't know exactly when as they are very irregular since I had my implant out in 2015, I was sure it was gonna come yesterday as was very emotional, but just a very tiny amount of spotting which stopped, I'm so confused, I'm going to wait a week or do before testing again 🙂

I am still hopeful for you! The fact that you got that line and still don't have your period sounds good even if you had a negative in between. I don't know about the different tests but people seem to say pink are best and some are more sensitive than others.

It is hard, I have been there and completely understand.

Try getting a First Response test (which is also a pink dye test btw) I was late for a week before I got a positive test result and then only on one of these! I felt like my period was about to start for the first 6 weeks or so of pregnancy too. When I had what I thought was the start of my period as you describe, it stopped again and turned out to be implantation bleeding. It was a week later I got a positive result.

All home tests have different "strengths" that the can detect HCG at and the CB ones, need quite a high level.

First Response test from Boots or Superdrug, don't drink after say 10pm and test with your first morning pee. If you get a negative result but no period, wait three days and try again. Good luck xx

The fact you have had spotting but no period is a hopeful sign. Like you say wait a week and try again if you dont know when your period is due, the tests wont show anything until the first day of your period and even then it can be unclear. Fingers crossed for you
