Should i go to the hospital

Earlier a car pulled out infront of us and my dad had to break hard otherwise he would have gone straight into it. Usually i hold the bottom seatbelt so it doesnt touch my bump but i was on my phone at the time so i cant remember if i had my hand between the belt or not. It wasnt over the top of my bump, it was under the bump but when i googled it, i dont think the belt was as low as they advise. He is moving around and sticking limbs out haha, im just really worried i'd have ripped the placenta or something. I have been in hospital so many times lately, i kind of dont wanna go up because he is wriggling away but i also dont wanna not go, and then something be wrong. Do you think im over thinking it? And will it have been ok?

Ring the maternity ward and ask

Ring and ask best to be on the safe side and I don't think you'll settle till you do.

I'd phone your midwife/maternity assessment unit and ask their advice.

If you think there was significant force from the seatbelt onto your bump I think you'd be just as well to get checked out.

Are you in pain? Are you bleeding? Are you rhesus positive? Is LO moving normally?

If the answers are no/no/yes/yes then there's nothing to worry about.

A partially placenta is a theoretical possibility, which is why you might need a jab of anti D if your rhesus negative, but I can't stress how unlikely it is! If they're moving fine and you're not in pain or bleeding then you've got nothing to worry about.

Highly unlikely to be a problem but I would err on the side of caution and at least ring and discuss it, if you don't actually go.
