Movements at 37 wks... a bit worried

Have normally v v active baby inside am 37 wks friday
Today very little movements.
Had a good beating inside at 7am when I woke, but since then only one or two movements I have been busy so I thought maybe I missed some but I'm normally very aware.
So since dinner at 6.30pm, I lay down prodded and felt nothing
DD sat on the bump and got one kick, then nothing
Normally after tea he'll bash about dramatically and we'll all watch
I did google movements and I'm pretty sure I'm not feeling enough
I'm not a paranoid person, but am starting to worry
I know ring the bloody midwife right.

Just stressing and I'm not sure dp understands.

Piff, run yourself a bath, lie down, and watch your tummy for a bit.

Alternatively, have a very cold drink - that usually gets them going.

If after that you are still getting no movements, then ring your midwife

I won't tell you not to worry - am 19w pg atm and don't regularly feel kicks yet - very stressful! So I will empathise instead.

Call midwife or delivery suite, best to go get checked out in case something is wrong.

go on, ring the midwife. horrid & stressful, but it has to be done. they'll probably want you to go in for monitoring. good luck. xxx

Pif...We all have this at one time or another in the last few weeks, when i was pg with my dd (3) i vividly remember making a mental note to myself about it! Of course i stressed about it again with my ds!

The baby is prob having a nice sleep.

Things i did which always got them kicking away

1. cold drink/ ice cream
2. bath 3)lie down and turn from side to side

They are a worry from concieving aren't they?

agree with others,
have a good bath,
ice cream made me give birth
hope you felt movement by now. if not, give them call, thats why they are there for you.

Piff...Any movements?

The night my DD was born she hadnt moved much all day so went to local hospital. She was born that night by section. Best to get checked.

If I don't get my usual wake up bashing I'll go off for monitoring tomorrow
Have had a few decent movements , less than normal but they feel vigorous enough to allay worries for the night

of course he is kicking the very daylights out of me today, feels like he is trying to claw his way out!
While vastly reassuring, it feels ghastly!
I guess even babies in utero have off days.
