Wrong dates or miscarriage?

Hi everyone,

I really need some advice. This is my first pregnancy, I thought I was 8 weeks pregnant. This week I started to bleed (pink spotting). I called 111 and a Dr referred me to the early pregnancy unit. I had an internal scan and was told that the sac looks 5-6 weeks. She said either I have my dates wrong or I'll miscarry. I'm going back in 2 weeks to find out. I'm still bleeding (only when I wipe) it's either pink or red but no clots and no stomach pain.

Has anyone had anything similar?

I had a mmc in Nov with exactly the same thing as you. I only seemed to be bleeding when I wiped and had no pain, for me it was the fact that the bleeding had been going on too long and so I took myself to A&E and the next day it was confirmed that I was only 7 weeks although I should have been 11 weeks.

I'am now 7 weeks pregnant again and SO happy but also VERY terrified it will happen again. I have very little symptoms and so am even more worried but I didn't think I would get pregnant so soon and am just taking it in my stride, not getting too focuses on it all just waiting for the 12 week scan.
