Hello!
Just wondered others experiences with their pets sensing pregnancy.
I'm 9 weeks now and since 5 weeks my cat has been coming up to me and laying across my belly.
I wonder if he knows!

He definitley knows! He's keeping you and the little bean safe and protected! Halo

Imavinoops · 05/02/2017 22:00

I'm sure he knows. My pup has been coming over and resting her head on my belly. She has also become more protective the past few weeks.

I'm SURE they know what's going on.

I have to agree. My little Yorkie wouldn't leave me alone during both my pregnancies had to be on my lap. When I'm not pregnant he's no where to be seen!

My cat knew before I did - and this started around 11/12 dpo. He likes to 'incubate' me and is extra loving. Although he also started suffering anxiety when I'm not there causing bladder problems which has cost us a lot of money.

He's going to be so disappointed when a tiny human pops out rather than a litter of kittens!!

I wish my cat had this sixth sense. I'm 12 weeks and my cat still hates me!

I'm 25 weeks now and my dog remains unmoved.

My younger cat was a kitten when I got pregnant with DS - she knew. She'd sniff my belly and spent my entire pregnancy on my bump. She's now a massive lump of a cat and is doing the same with my second pregnancy.

We have a three year old cockapoo and she sussed it quite early. Seems to not jump up as much and rests her head on my tummy more too.

My 2 cats also definitely know! They won't leave me alone and have starting snuggling into my lap and tummy for the first time ever!

Our 13-year old cat Baldrick started lying across my stomach ever since we started TTC in the summer. And now he'll just sit there, either next to me, on me or at least 'minding' me. I always joke he's going to sleep in the cot with it if it depends on him. lol

I am 15 weeks and my little schnauzer/mutt is not remotely interested.

If she knew there was a baby in there she would probably bark at it or get jealous and pee on it.

I'm over 26 weeks and my cats are always around. One pf them refuses to leave my lap.
