5 weeks + spottting

Hi all,

Would really appreciate hearing some good experiences from people on here.

Got positive test on Saturday- was a bit of a surprise as I wasn't sure if my period had arrived- spotting for about a week before.

Took many a test and all positive.

But the spotting hasn't gone away. It's not a lot -nothing on a pad or on my pants but only when I wipe. Can be anything from brown to pink with the odd red thrown in the mix sometimes. Usually fin the morning then slowly lessens until there is nothing when I wipe at night.

I know it can happen and the advice is not to worry unless there is a lot of blood- which there isn't.

Not really had cramping just a weird "feeling" which could well be normal from what I have read.

I need to stop googling but this is my first and much wanted and am pretty terrified.

Have an early scan booked for a couple of weeks time when I will be 7+2.

Anyone going through something similar now or had experience of this in the past and gone on to have a healthy pregnancy??

Hi sj all was fine today. Feel so relieved and hopefully can stop worrying for at least a bit! Not long until Thursday now. Hope it goes quick for you and I'll be thinking of you xx

I hope so too. How is it going? Are you still spotting? Don't worry too much if you are, I didn't stop spotting 100% until 10 weeks.

Yeh still happening. It's jut annoying me now and I just want to know one way or the other.

Obviously hoping I'm jut one of the strange ones who bleeds for no apparent or no serious reason.

Some times it seems to get a little heavier but then goes down to barely anything again. Colour varies red - pink - brown.

I remember that, it's so upsetting when you just want it to stop. I still check my knickers every time I go to the loo! Only one more full day to wait now then it's the day of your scan 😊

Thanks Seahawk Scan went really well. I have me down at 7+2 baby measuring at 7 exactly. Measuring exactly right for dates and saw the heart beating. So I'm so relieved right now it's untrue. I know it's no guarantee but the sonographer said she could see no reason for the bleeding nothing toward there and maybe just from still implanting. I'll take that. Right size and a heartbeat. That's all I need to know 😍

Amazing news! Congrats you can start to get excited now! Once you see a
Heartbeat the risk of anything going wrong is massively reduced, I found that a real comfort.

Definitely a comfort. 😊 now I'm a bit obsessed with looking at he scan pic but you can't see much haha 😂
