Anyone who has btdt care to share your experience and perspective on this?

I am 40+2 today. Bloody show on Monday and a bit more yesterday, then last night started having mild contractions lasting 45 seconds every 7 minutes, picked up very late at night in terms of frequency and were more painful but certainly not unbearable - I was ok hanging on the end of the bed humming and rocking and then switched the tens machine on and miraculously fell asleep for a few hours.

Today I've had a couple of contractions but nothing regular or building. Is this the start? Could this last much longer?

I just want things moving again!!! Patience is not a strong point!!!

Mine started like that. I was in labour for a grand total of 7 days.

Yeah, stop start labour. Was bloody agony. Ds was back to back and stuck. By the time someone took me seriously it was C section time!

I don't say this to scare you, but do push to be taken seriously if the contractions get very intense and they tell you you aren't dilating :)

Go walk up some stairs. Lots of stairs.

It was indeed the start... A very long start but she has arrived! She was back to back and part of my cervix wouldn't dilate so bye bye planned water birth and hello transfer to the delivery suite with syntocin drip to increase the strength of the contractions. Thankfully that along with some excellent midwives was enough to do the drink and baby was born. All worth it in the end!

Enough to do the trick, not drink! Mind you, I could use a strong one! Gin
