Now dr google gives contradicting advice and I am currently shitting my insides out. Ok to take? Have you? I realise I can't g t medical advice but personal experience would be good because when I say shotting my insides out I mean all my insides out (will never eat 2 big tubs of olives in one sitting again... thank you Tesco olive bar)

I asked a pharmacist who said no when I was first trimester.

Does the information guide in the box say?

poco2015 · 22/01/2017 19:39

On the box it says ask dr or pharmacists for pregnancy and no for breast feeding. Like I know the cause of it (my own gluttony and love of olives) so I know not a bug so I don't know if that makes a difference.

I had the same issue with sour cream when pregnant with DS (lactose intolerant) & my pharmacist friend said nope to Imodium & I just had to wait for it to end.

Never ate it again though!

poco2015 · 22/01/2017 19:55

Dh just walked in to make sure I was ok. He promptly exited calling me a stinky b*h. Questioning if that was by products of me or was I spawning the devil (he meant it in jest I think ) I shall wait it out...

....ooooo sour cream on jacket potatoes

I'm the same with cheese, I love it too much, though have been a lot more careful this pregnancy as the cramps & toilet hogging was not good.

Hope it ends for you soon. & haha toxic smog.

Be aware, generally Imodium and such like can be as bad as it is good. The upset tum is your body's way of getting rid of the germs it needs to and by taking Imodium you are keeping those bugs in. I know someone who ended up really poorly through taking it. I'd advise against it but as others have said, speak to a pharmacist or your GP

If you are at home and comfortable, I would wait it out and let you body do what it needs to.

You will only trap it all inside and potentially give yourself stomach ache, and while they may be erring on the side of caution there may be good reason not to take it in pregnancy.

Hope it passes soon!
