Hi

I went for lunch today whilst out in town with sisters, nephews and nana. We went to the Bakers oven and i decided to treat the kids to a diet coke. I asked for an extra two cups and the waitress looked at me like i'd just crawled out of the bloody gutter and said, "you can have one".!!!
I was furious and said,"there are three children" and she said,"i'll have to see where i stand on that" and dissaperaed out the back for 3-4 minutes! (No doubt ringing head office for advice over such a big decision).
The reason i didn't want three cokes is that they are so big and too much IMO and I HAD offered to pay for the extra cups BTW!
She came back and gave me two mugs as they could be washed and paper cups were too expensive!!!
I swear, my heart was beating so loudly i thought it was gonna explode and i said,"I've just spent fourteen pounds for a sausage roll and i can't have a paper cup. Before i leave this cafe please bring me the name and address for complaints" (which she did but said they weren't allowed to give out staff names)!

WOW what a rant but i was so furious!!!!!

Oh and one of the mugs had a deep crack in so i left a note on the table saying ,
'This cup has a crack in . VERY unhygienic!!!!!!'

These people are having a laugh aren't they?

A word to head office and a couple of 10p off their crappy sausage rolls vouchers will be on the way. Official MN boycott - now!!!!

When I worked in a tea room (old ladies, doilies, cream teas, the lot) we had these kinds of requests all the time (this was in my pre-mummy days) and I would never have said no, despite what the bosses told us to do/say! It's ridiculous! We only sold cold drinks in cans, or cartons of OJ which were more expensive than the cans anyway. Why are people SO MEAN?

Celou · 23/06/2004 14:14

I don't know if they're mean or just plain thick.

Lets settle on they are STUPID and take no notice of them
