Negative result 3 days before period was so sure

Hi all.
I just got a negative result from a test that can detect up to 5 days early.
I was so sure I was pregnant because I felt bloated and had cramps about a week ago.
going out with the in laws tomorrow for a meal.
Can I have a few glasses of wine?

Hi I tried a test that claimed to detect up to 5 days early And it came back negitive but I just knew I was pregnant .. I tried on the day I was due to come on and it was positive! So it's possible you may be as they are only a certain % affective so early! So maybe try in a few days or so as for wine I would say it would be fine as there is still a chance you may not be! X

Thank you for replying, I'm debating whether to do the other test tomorrow morning but don't want to be disappointed by redoing when I'm not due till Monday. X

I also did tests that claimed to detect 5 days before and got negative until the day before my period! I'd have a glass or two of wine as it won't do much damage if you are xx

Awh I know how u feel, I waited until the day for that reason! I even had some light bleeding but I was still so sure I was pregnant.. it was implantation bleeding! Go with your gut you may get a lovely suprise! Good luck x

Wait until your period is 2 days late and then test.

I bought a cheap pee on a stick in the co-op about when I thought period was due (not that regular) and lo and behold it was positive.

I tested negative at CD32. And positive at CD34. Do not test again until you miss your period. Risk the wine if you think it's worth it to you.

I tested on the Monday which was around the time I was due. Had a few glasses (pretty much a bottle 😬) of wine on the Friday as it had been a long week. Still didn't get my period on the Saturday so I did another test and it was positive!
I mentioned the wine to the midwife and she wasn't worried, just made me feel a bit guilty!

Sorry, I didn't mean the midwife made me feel guilty, I made myself fee guilty! That didn't read right!

No babies this month but found out I have a 29 day cycle on 28 so that's useful to know.
