I found out last night I'm pregnant for the 1st time, whilst I'm over the moon I'm confused about a possible due date. I have missed one period in January but my period in December was very light and only lasted about 24 hours, could I be further along than I thought??

Congrats! You could be a month further than you thought- best to see GP and they can refer you for an early scan to work out your dates to make sure you are booked in in time for any screening tests you want. Good luck.

Thank you was very unexpected as was told in November my chances of conceiving were low! We have an appointment later today with the gp

As Katniss says, ask for a scan to date your pregnancy - if your local hospital has an early pregnancy unit then I would be tempted to turn up there and see if you can get a scan today... There isn't any real panic per se but you do need to have a scan at the 12 week mark to check for complications. Depending on funds, you can also get private ultrasounds. Good luck! Very exciting!

Speak with your GP. You'll most likely have to be referred for a scan at your EPU as most are not self-referred. Congratulations!!

Congratulations!
Get booked in to see a midwife and get the ball rolling!
