Hi I have a question about flying and late pregnancy , I have yet to confirm pregnancy and therefore panicking about nothing maybe . But we are due to fly when I will be 33 + 5 weeks and land in U.K. When I will 35+5 now the airline say they will allow travel up till 36 weeks as long as a certificate stating fit and well. , now my question is has anybody ever flown so late and what is the worst / or worrying reason behind it ,no where seems to state the reason I did wonder if it's incase you labour , it's a four hr flight . ( posted in travel too)

I'm interested to know as I plan on being in the UK until 35+4 as I live abroad but flight is one hour. My midwife is happy for me to assuming no complications.

You can fly at 36 weeks, but from 28 weeks some airlines will need a certificate from midwife saying safe to fly.

Basically they don't want anyone going into labour mid air if they can help it.

I thought it might be that , I know my airline requires the certificate as I checked that out yesterday . I guess I am at present panicking lol thanks guys

Any chance you can reschedule? I flew at 31 weeks ok ( had letter also if needed). But I don't think would have wanted to fly 5 weeks later. One child was born at 37 weeks also ( and midwife had said week before he would be overdue so would have signed another certificate)
Also I didn't really have a bump at all at 31 weeks still, just small and enough nobody actually asked if pregnant under baggy jumper

I am not sure ( it's a big group I already have 5 dc )so it's kinda harder to move things about ,there's 15 going and if we move it closer it may change cost .
Last time I was pregnant at 39 weeks I had a non existent bump looked just like I had a big meal , baby was born at 39 weighing 5lb5 ( c-section) otherwise I am always late 41weeks usually.
