It was right about ds and says I am expecting a boy, so will let you know in a few months time.

Enid · 06/06/2002 16:32

boy for me too joe1 - but said dd should have been a boy too!

ScummyMummy · 06/06/2002 16:38

Hmm, twin sons should have been a girl, apparently. I wonder what went wrong?!

jessi · 06/06/2002 18:13

Right for me!

jenny2998 · 06/06/2002 23:24

Right about my son, even though the age was a year out (I was 17, and aparently thats not an option...)but said my daughter should have been a boy.

mollipops · 07/06/2002 07:37

Wow it was actually right on both counts, although it got ds as a girl until I realised I was still 29 when he was conceived, so I re-did it and it came back boy! Don't forget that when you calculate the month of conception it is more like 10 months than 9, so that could affect your result...of course it's all just coincidence...isn't it?

Mopsy · 07/06/2002 10:44

It got both of mine right...weird!

Tillysmummy · 07/06/2002 11:03

It worked for me

janh · 07/06/2002 11:09

This chart got 4 out of 4 right for me BUT there is another "700 year old Chinese birth chart" (which has been mentioned on here too) and it is completely different...and was completely wrong for me. Mind you if you happen to ovulate around the end of the month how do you know which month you conceived in? Dodgy!

This one is, I think, the chart that was printed in a parents mag about 10 years ago and it predicted a girl for almost every month when the mother is in the range 30 - 32, especially the summer months. Anybody bear this out?

janh - interesting. I did it for me and a friend and we were both in that age range, had spring/summer babies who were both girls! Would love to know the maths/logic behind this.

oxocube · 08/06/2002 06:47

A disappointing 1 out of 3 for me.

janh · 08/06/2002 11:59

Tinker and Pamina, it is intriguing, isn't it? I also conceived first dd aged 30 in June/July. (And second, same time, aged 33.) I wish we could look at this whole chart instead of just typing in age and month and waiting ages.

This is the other chart:

Might suit you better, Rozzy!

leander · 08/06/2002 12:05

According to this DS should have been a girl

leander · 08/06/2002 12:09

Janh youre chart predicted right it was the first one that was wrong

janh · 08/06/2002 13:55

It's funny, isn't it - TWO 700-yr-old Chinese birth charts and they are almost entirely different...I don't know if this is a true story or not but I did once hear about somebody who advertised in the small ads, "I can predict your baby's sex - send £5 - fee refunded if wrong". Of course they always said the same to everybody, returned half the fees and - this is the clever bit - kept the other half!!!

Maybe this is a similar situation!

batey · 08/06/2002 20:30

Got both of my dds. Spooky!

WideWebWitch · 09/06/2002 11:09

It got mine wrong too.

Lollypop · 09/06/2002 21:30

It got mine wrong. It does have a 50:50 chance of being right each time. Anyway its the man's sperm that determines gender not the age of the woman.

Kanesmum · 10/06/2002 21:41

It didn't work for me, predicted a girl but have a boy. Did anyone see the link for conceiving a girl/boy? Apparently for a girl you have sex on certain days but you MUST NOT orgasm and for a boy the same about sex on certain days but you MUST have an orgasm. No pressure like! Just out of curiousity has anyone tried this?

jessi · 10/06/2002 22:27

Yes! I know of a woman who wanted two girls and thats what she got!

Enid · 11/06/2002 09:22

Then dd and new baby should both be boys
