I was prescribed metronidazole last week to treat BV. I was holding off taking them because I had a night out planned. Instead, I had a BFP (now 5 wks with dc 2).
I went back to the doctor who prescribed Clindamycin cream instead which also carries a warning for pregnant ladies, particularly in the first trimester. Doctor and pharmacist have reassured me that the cream is safer than tablets, and that the benefits outweigh the risks, but I am beside myself with worry. Has anybody suffered BV during early pg? How did you treat it?
