Talk to me about latent labour

I'm 9 months pregnant and I've been having pains since Sunday night. Sometimes they're consistent, sometimes inconsistent. This morning they were regular and very painful, I thought 'this is it' - then suddenly they disappeared Sad I know this is latent labour, how long have people had this last for? Think I've lost my mucus plug tonight - TMI ALERT....it basically looks like I've sneezed in my knickers Blush is that my plug?

I'm not a FTM, but I don't remember losing my plug with DD and it was a super quick labour, this latent nonsense is alien to me Confused

I was in latent labour for a week, with my plug going a week before delivery. Sound like yours has gone as well - mine looked like a big lump of snot!

A week before delivery I was having contractions every 5 minutes for an entire night but when I went into hospital they didn't show up on the CTG and my cervix was closed.

I went back in a week later as my waters were leaking. I was then 4cm and according to the CTG having contractions every 5 minutes which I couldn't feel!

Sounds like things are moving in the right direction but I think it's impossible to know when things will really kick off!
