Hi, I'm nearly 10 weeks pregnant! Living with my mum, we don't have an income coming in.. what benefits can I claim while being pregnant and after?Blush

I've been told a few but I don't have a clue how.. or what to do and what I can claim for?

Is we you and your mum or you and your partner?

Income support at a minimum

I stay with my mum and I currently go to college but get income support and child tax credit.

When I was working full time my child tax credit and working tax credit were totally separate from any other member of my household.

The only issue is if your mum is working you won't be able to claim housing benefit/council tax reduction

Yer the housing benefit depends on how much her mum earns whether she would get housing benefit or not

I think its job seekers until youre 20 something werks pregnant, then income support (70 something a week) and once the baby is born you carry on getting income suppory but also get child tax credit (about 65 a week) and chid benefit (20 a week)

Housing benefit i dont think you can get if living with your mum, but your mum may be able to

Yep, this ^ Being pregnant at 10 weeks means nowt as far as claiming anything I'm afraid. It'll be jobseekers until I think 26weeks or there abouts. I'd start by going to the jobcentre, make an appointment and see what the rules are these days, they're always changing! Good luck x
