Hi everyone,

Stupid question heading your way but baby brain is in full swing today!!

I can't work out my 'relevant period' for SMP. I know it is 8 weeks but can't work out which 8 weeks.

I am due 3rd june and will be 20 weeks this saturday 14/1/17

Thanks

Weeks 18 to 25 I believe

I'm a payroll administrator.

At the 11th week before your due date this date is your qualifying week. You then count 8 weeks backwards from this date.
As long as you earn over £112 per week during this time you'll qualify for SMP and your 90% element will be calculated on this amount

I'm due 2nd June. See attached calculation might work for you too?

I was sure it was calculated later, wish I'd checked it sooner! It's so unfair that if you get childcare vouchers through your employer then your 90% smp is calculated on the reduced amount. If I'd have known then I'd have cancelled the vouchers before the qualifying weeks, but then I'd lose out on savings from the vouchers, can't win Confused

Thanks all...that clears it up for me xx
