Baby #2 and getting impatient! What signs did everyone have that the end is near?

I'm 35wks with baby #2 and having just started maternity leave its reminding me how over being pregnant I am and I just want to meet this baby! The problem is my DD is 8 and frankly I can't remember what I got for Christmas let alone what happened in the run up to her birth!!!!

When did everyone start getting niggles?
When did you have a show with the 2nd baby?
Does the nesting feeling wear off?
Was your 2nd labour much quicker than the first?

Any advice would be much appreciated

I'm 38+4 with number 2 and, so far, there are no signs at all that she is on her way. Started my maternity leave yesterday and I'm already bored of waiting!

Watching with interest. 38+1 with my second term baby and a bit worried about all these snow reports for the weekend! Dd I spent days fannying around with slow latent labour, no idea whether to expect the same again.
