I am officially now overdue!! I spent all pregnancy telling everyone I was certain he was coming early and he's been stubborn and proved me wrong!!

Amz I'm not too bad... However I have actually started having contractions so it appears he doesn't wanna be too late!!

Currently every 7/8 minutes and although painful still bearable so got a way to go yet I think!

I've managed 2 of those (sort of) on mumsnet, it sort of distracts you!! I'm currently up with the result of my 2nd birth thread, who's 5 weeks.

Having a hospital birth cos of a medical condition unfortunately!! We're having a little boy ☺️ dh was so excited when he found out I was secretly really hoping for a girl lol

We've got 4 girls and 1 boy so everyone was hoping for a boy (except me ) but as long as they're healthy that's all that matters.

Romy is such a gorgeous name!! Our family is notorious for boys!! This is my first but I have 8 brothers and sisters and between them there are 15 kids but only 4 of them are girls!!

Wev picked Isaac for him we struggled so much to choose a boys name!! I'd like a girl but I'm not sure I'd do this again!!!

How long were u in labour for last time? I was my sisters birth partner for her 3rd and she was only in labour 3 hours! This all kicked off at 4pm yesterday!!

How are you doing tinyhuman I hope things have progressed for you.

My labour with Romy wasn't too bad, from my very first pain to her being born was 5 hours, I got to hospital at half 5 and was 8cm dilated, she was born at 7.33am
My shortest was no3. My waters went at midnight and she was in my arms at 2.10am

Isaac is a gorgeous name, wow only 4 girls!
Once you're holding baby, most of the pain is forgotten.

Hi, have been checked over by labour ward... contractions are still painful but fairly mild in comparison to how bad they are gonna get, theyre every - minutes but my cervix is still closed :( my notes say 25% effaced but shut so it looks like im in for a long long labour! spent most of the day walking around, now just come for a lay down with my tens machine cos iv only had maybe 4 hours. i just dont know wht to do with myself! they said this bit could go on for days... i dont think i can cope with this for days!

Hope you're OK tiny you never know, you may surprise yourself and cope really well, if not when you're offered any pain relief, take whatever they offer & remember every contraction is a step closer to you holding your baby! Hope you've managed to get some rest.

Iv slept a little!!! Tightenings are manageable and currently every 8-9 minutes! Really hoping and keeping my fingers crossed things ramp up and happen overnight!!

It feels weird to wish pain upon someone, but I too hope things pick up for very soon! 😀

Still pregnant lol!! Contractions are just random now but consultant appt tomorrow so will hopefully get an induction date!!

Keep your FX for me i think this is it finally!! Clearly the baby was waiting for me to paint my nails and straighten my hair!!! Who wants to be born to a messy mummy!!!

Romy arrived the one day I hadn't managed to wash and straighten my hair, I was most displeased
