Just found this information about donating your cord

I think there are a couple of other hospitals who do it, but not through AN.

We donated ds's cord through AN, (he was born at one of the above hospitals), was really chuffed that we were able to do it, and apparently the cord/placenta was huge and they got a lot of blood from it so I was even more pleased!

It's a shame they don't do it everywhere as I would be happy to donate mine.

Fairly certain I donated DS cord blood at Liverpool women's in the early 00's.
