Hi all, just wanted a bit of advise really! I'm due to fly to Cyprus in 3 weeks, I'll be 11 weeks pregnant. I had a miscarriage in October and I'm scared something might happen on the flight! I'm a really REALLY nervous flyer too and get very stressed. Question is, would you go? Or just cancel the trip and feel more relaxed. Will the stress harm the baby? Thanks in advance smile xxx

I've flown in pregnancy-first flight ever actually. Was fine and it's safe to do so unless advised otherwise

However, it depends on you. Would you enjoy it or spend your time worrying? Do what you feel is best for you.

I'd get an early scan to reassure you that everything is as it should be and enjoy your holiday. There's no additional risk to flying, and the chances of miscarriage from 11 weeks are remarkably low, even lower if you've seen a heartbeat.

I had a scan at 6 weeks, heartbeat and all. I think I'm just worried that the stress of feeling panicky at take off and landing would be bad for baby? Xx

Go! Enjoy yourself and have a break. There's no magic certificate from 12 weeks, things can happen at any time, but hopefully less likely at that point. At any rate, enjoying yourself won't hurt one bit and might help you relax.
