Feeling fat!

I'm 10/11 weeks and and starting to feel rather fat! I've put on a few pounds but I really have gained a tummy! It doesn't appear to be a bump at all just fat? I've always been quite slim (with the aid of eating well and gym) I'm starting to get concerned now as of Christmas none of my troucers fit so am already in maturity troucers and now a couple of my tops are quite tight? Is this normal?

10 weeks, here, exactly same than you. All bloating!

Difficultyear2015 · 04/01/2017 19:45

I was in maternity jeans at 11 weeks after struggling for a few weeks with a hairband.

Best decision ever.
I'm now 18 weeks and not a whole lot bigger than I was at 11 so your bump kind of fills the bloating I guess.

I felt rubbish at 10/11 weeks and much better now

That's alright I just feel horrible! Went to a New Years party and a girl said to me you can't be showing your just fat so it really hit my confidence! (Mind you I loving the big boobs! Increased two cup sizes already)

I hate the rude comments.
It's just jealousy I'm sure,

I've been told all sorts of things but in reality I know I'm just fine

Bellabelloo · 04/01/2017 21:49

I just looked fat until about 32 weeks!! I am 36 weeks now and would say I have more of a pregnancy bump rather than a belly that looked like I'd eaten too many pies!!

DrewOB0 · 04/01/2017 22:12

I look huge at the moment but bloat is quite high up so looks really far along. I found some cheap maternity jeans for home and will need to tuck it in at work :(

LaraG13 · 04/01/2017 22:16

I started putting fat on round my belly from really early on in pregnancy. Long before I had a proper bump. I had a fairly flat tummy prior to that so it was really noticeable. Laying down some extra abdominal fat is one of the joys of pregnancy!

I started feeling really fat this weekend even asked hubby if I was too big (I'm 27+2). Went to the midwife and measured fundal height 30 so that made me feel worse. And then today I go to work and one of the older ladies said "oh who ate all the pies" I know it was only a joke but not funny!!! Then I get home and my neighbour dropped by and said oh when are you due blimey is it twins you are so big!

Some people are so rude !

Sorry needed too rant. I'm only a size 14 and I'm frontal loading so even still have shape to my waist just all big bump. Feeling grumpy 😪😪

Floridasunset · 05/01/2017 09:41

People can be so rude. I've started showing early this time round but it's more like bloating so still squishy. Embrace those maternity trousers, there is no point being uncomfortable. And helped me scoff loads more over Christmas.
I love having a bump so do like to show it offSmile

Jenny1997 · 05/01/2017 14:11

I don't get why people feel the need to joke about it? Over Christmas all I got was here you go (handed a baby) you need practice! Or eating for two is it any time I snack!
I'm trying to move house we've found a lovely place but needs a lot of work and everyone seems to think I'm incapable of doing anything! Like lifting a paintbrush is too much or cleaning a kitchen! It's stupid!

I can't wait to have a bump! My work don't want me to tell anyone so as soon as I get one they've no excuse everyone will know!

I would embrace some maternity items or I found these leggings in all saints the other day that have a tight short skirt part attached. I know it sounds strange but basically you can wear these leggings and a top and they are super comfy and super flattering without being "maternity".
