I am 16 weeks and went for a scan today. At my 12 week I was told that it was a boy in "theory", and then today we were told that "maybe it's a girl". What do you think girl or boy?

LOL!!!

well, 12 weeks sounds very early to tell..i thought the genitalia were not really formed enough until around 14 weeks..but i might be wrong!

girl..saw two white lines on the scan, in a sort of v shape

boy- saw a willy !!

so very very different set of genitals , IME

i would wait until you have another scan...20 weeks ( anomaly scan ) is the time most people get to find out , if they want to know

Think someone said that at the 12 week scan both genders has 'bits' and if they point upwards it is a boy and if they point forward/down it is a girl.

I would say you are none the wiser and unless you want a surprise, have another scan.

I guess I will have to wait another few weeeks or possibly months to be sure, but I don't mind really :O

Like everyone, I would hope for a healthy baby and everything else is just irrelevant. HOWEVER, having said that, my sister has had two girls and I would get loads of clothes from her if I had a girl which would save lots of money, plus I could avoid my husbands choice of name for a boy, which he desperately wants, but I really hate! But, we haven't had a boy born in my family for nearly 30 years, and I know my parents would love a boy. Just got to work on that name thing!!
