Restless legs

Does anyone get restless legs without being in bed?

I know it sounds strange but I come to bet to stop the restless legs it's when I'm relaxing on the sofa that I'm struggling and it's driving me crazy. Any tips?

Congratulations on your pregnancy. I had this loads, it's so weird and uncomfortable, no remedies except to stand up. Read recently that a bar of soap under bed sheet by feet may help. I have no idea why or if it does, but how about stuffing bars of soap down your socks, but make sure they are not underfoot if you stand up lol!

Argh assumed you were expecting as I had it then, good luck

I get this. Normally when I'm tired in the evenings. I stop it by going to bed, so no miracle cure here I'm afraid.

I've heard of the soap thing, and also bananas are meant to be good. I've not tried either to be honest as for me it's a sign I'm tired, so I should just go to bed IYSWIM.

I had this in both pregnancies and it drove me insane. There's a theory (google will help) that it's a vitamin deficiency so maybe read into that. I found it happened less the more water I drank and the less tired I was

Yes, it starts in the evening when I'm sat trying to watch tv. Doesn't get any better when I go to bed.

Hi I get restless legs but only when pregnant. I read about the bar of soap in the bed and laughed but thought I would give it ago. So got a bar of imperial leather soap and put it in the bed and touch wood it has worked so far. That was about a week before xmas.
No tips for when on the sofa sorry

I also get this when on the sofa watching TV in the evening. It is really annoying! I usually get up and march on the spot for a bit to try and tire them out.

YES!!!!! I've got them right now. I'm only 5+2 and it's probably not even pregnancy related but it's doing my nut in lol. And I totally understand when you say they calm when you're in bed. Mine do this too.

Congrats on your pregnancy! I have constant restless legs, I am 23 + 4. I have to get up and walk wound regularly and of a night time can cure it with a bath or going to bed, have to busy myself doing the washing up sometimes Confused
