12 week scan after mmc

Hello,

I had a mcc in June and I am now almost 12 weeks pregnant again.

I have my scan in 2 days and I am terrified. I could barely sleep last night.

I have felt sick this morning but other than that my symptoms have kind of worn off. My boobs are no longer painful. I know I should expect my symptoms to ease off but it is just so worrying.

It may not be common to have two mmc in a row. But I am still so worried

I'm 9 weeks, 10 week scan next week. Feel exactly the same. It's hell, isn't it?

I know just how you feel. Had a MMC in July and pregnant again. I went into my 12 week scan in December expecting to be told the worst - I cried in the waiting room. All was okay. I know there are no guarantees but people keep telling me there's a better chance of things being okay than not (they're right but it doesn't help). This is the worst thing I have ever been through - the worry compares to nothing else. Thoughts are with you - stay strong and fingers crossed you'll have good news very soon!! Xx

I know. It really is the worst thing ever. I'm just thinking about it all the time. I know I am going to be a wreck when i'm waiting for my scan.

I hope everything goes well for you both too x

Good luck. I had an mmc the year before I had my daughter and can well remember the 'scanxiety', I think I cried before every one I had tbh. I hope it goes well.

Best of luck OP, odds are in your favour! After mc 1 and multiple weekly scan I had one at 8 weeks then 12.

Both were hell on earth, couldn't sleep the night before, feeling sick in the waiting room and resenting all the smiling faces of the mamas around me.

Went in both time and couldn't look at the screen, just asked if everything was OK.... both times the answers was YES! Bursts into tears and loved ever single second of seeing our wee buba!

24 weeks now and trundling on. Not going to lie, the fear never really leaves you but everything is on your side! Mmc is the exception and to be struck twice is just plain shitty, so chin up, deep breathes and best of luck!!

I've been there too. It is the most hideous, awful thing. I hope it goes well for you. I found that telling the sonographer helped - they were very quick to tell me they could see a heartbeat once it started. Good luck!

Thank you. These message are making me feel much better about it.

These two days are definitely going to drag. I know I wont be able to look at the screen. I will definitely tell the sonographer when I get in there. So they know to tell me quick

Yes definitely do that. I told the sonographer and she said she wouldn't mess around and told me immediately that there was a heart beat. They are very good in these circumstances I think. Xx
