It's a positive even if it's faint. Did the line appear within the test time limit?
Congratulations

I had a very faint line and I was pregnant. Your doctor won't confirm it, they just take your word for it as the home pregnancy tests are just as good as their dip tests. Take another in a few days and the line will probably be stronger. This was how faint mine was if that helps, my DD is now 19 moths old

A line is a line. Clearblue have a website and a helpline iirc. You don't need to use a GP appointment to ask how a pregnancy test works. In many areas, you don't see a GP at all when pregnant. Your surgery will advise you. Your first appointment won't be until you're at least 8 weeks unless you're high risk.

Congratulations. What a great new year present.

Yes it's fadedone a bit more now because it was new year but the line came up within a minute or 2

You might not even need to see your Dr anyway- they won't do another test to confirm anyhow. When I went in and said to reception, pregnant, what do I do, they just handed over the midwife service phone number, for me to ring and book myself in. I only booked to see my GP as I needed to discuss my antidepressants and other meds.

I only bought cheap sticks (and did another a day or two later to be sure)- it was darker, and faster to appear a few days later.

Yeah most people buy a digital test to confirm just for their own peace of mind. The GP just takes your word for it.

Zippidydoodah · 02/01/2017 16:45

That's definitely a positive! Looks like you're pregnant! Congrats!
