Membrane sweep stories

I've been to the midwife had a membrane sweep I'm 39+4 she said cervix is soft and stretchy and 1-2cm plus favourable I know these don't always work but share your sweep stories

Really no one wants to share lol

I don't have a story, but just worked out that you are due on Christmas Day!!

Had one with my first pregnancy 12hrs later baby was born. Went to have one with my second baby when the midwife started she said 'have you been having any pains at all' which I hadn't turns out I was already 4cm dilated. They don't work for everyone though. Good luck.

I had one after 40weeks, me said she was 'pushing against s closed door' or cervix closed no dilation etcand not to expect anything any time soon.

went out for a meal with DH, by midnight I started labour, off to hospital full blown by 4am baby born few hours later!

I had one at 41 weeks and she said "wow I can feel the head- you'll definetly give birth within the next 2 days"
One week later still no baby and I had to go in and get started off

I had one at 37 weeks, was 1cm dilated and favourable. Had another at 40 weeks, 3 cm dilated, could stretch to 4cm, waters bulging, could feel the head, I finally popped at 40+5, so not too bad :)

I got offered one yesterday (at39+6) but refused as I'd prefer not to be in hospital on Christmas Day (I'm in Ireland, we're kept on for one night)

I had my first sweep at 40+1 where I was 2cm dilated but she stretched it to 3cm. I had my second sweep on 40+3 where I was 3cm but she stretched to 4cm. I went into labour that afternoon and she was born the next day. Good luck and I hope it works x
