Hi all,

So I am entering blimp territory now and sick of dressing like a sack of spuds!

Struggling to find nice things to wear, all seems dark and shapeless. I don't want to break the bank as I won't be in mat clothes long enough to justify it.

Already raided the ASOS sale, any other recommendations?

Thanks!

I have a few dresses from Jojo maman Bebe for work, jeans from H&M, casual tops from new look and nice outfits from asos!

I still feel like a sack of potatoes though!!

H&M or Dorothy Perkins, especially in the sale. Could check Next sale too.

Have a look in H&M. One of the few places that actually still sells maternity wear in store. I was in there on Monday and they have some stuff on sale!

TwoDogs9 · 23/12/2016 16:11

Vertabaudet. Cheap and cheerful, but they're comfy, the trousers don't fall down constantly and they look good. I tried stuff from Next and Mamalicious and they were hopeless!

Go online and check out pea in a pod from the US. Motherhood maternity is cheaper but it's nearly all polyester.

H&M were fine, I bought some Breton striped long t shirt material sort of dress tee-shirts.
I found that the styles were quite plain but Ive been wearing them since 4 months pregnant to now (full term) and they go well with everything.
I love cashmere waterfall cardigans from TK Max and Jo Jo Maman maternity jeans have lasted months too.

Theres a more expensive Italian brand called Mumma B who do lovely black dresses that completely envelop and hide the bump.

Purpless is good from basics. I find I feel less like a sack of spuds in things which show off my beautiful bump.

ConvincingLiar · 23/12/2016 20:11

Purpless is good for Jersey maternity/nursing basics but when I ordered 2 years ago they all smelled terrible when they arrived. They knew it was a problem because they told you to wash before wearing - then they were fine.

Jojo have a sale on now.

I got some lovely items from funmum website

Thanks everyone! Trying to find things that aren't stripy or dotty and reasonably fashionable is a nightmare.

I have a night out for my friends birthday soon and already feel self conscious about being the preggo girl in the pub without looking like a 1960s throwback into the bargain. Confused

Loving my bump and being pregnant but the clothing situation is frustrating. Emptied all my wardrobes of things that no longer fitted - I was left with 5 jumper dresses and 4 pairs of leggings! Thank god for the sales!!
