I have got a cold and everytime I sneeze I get pains and it is really uncomfortable.

Should I tell my doctor/midwife

Hi cupcake.... How far along are you?

I also get a twinge whenever I sneeze - in my lower abdomen. I think (not checked this with anyone) its because everything is stretching down there so its a bit sore when you sneeze. The only way I've stopped it hurting is to bend forward when I sneeze or curl my knees up to my tummy if I sneeze in bed.

Don't worry - it sounds as if you're just growing.

I am just getting over flu (21 weeks pg) and have to hold my bump when I cough and sneeze as it pulls.

Me too, I have to hold my bump when I sneeze, if I forget it stretches so hard it really hurts low on the sides of my bump. I'm sure it's just the sudden strtch.

I am allergic to everything at the mo and sneeze loads, I too had pain in my abdomen ( am 21wks pg) went to my gp, she said it was prob a strained muscle, listened for the heart beat and told me not to worry.
I would have worried if I'd not gone though.........
Now I try to hold my tummy with my hands when I sneeze, also try relaxing into the sneeze - if that makes sense- I found it hurt more when I was trying to hold it in or sneeze quietly, I was tense all over which prob made it worse.

Thanks

I have spoken to my Midwife about it because I was a bit worried and she has said that it sounds very normal but if it gets worse then to let them know.

Thanks for the reassurance. It was needed.
