Spotting in early pregnancy?

Hey.
I am between 5 and 6 weeks pregnant and have been having brown spotting when i wipe (sorry) since Monday.. I had a scan yesterday and they saw a teeny tiny flicker for a heartbeat and i am being rescanned in ten days. I am so worried even though they said dont worry and pregnancy looks normal but i am panicking. I find the spotting is worse today its actually on my knickers and i find it is worse when i am on 12 hour shifts.
Anyone have experience of this?

Hi Gem, I had this at seven weeks was scanned and all okay. I'm 12 weeks now and was scanned today and all still okay. They couldn't find an explanation for the spotting. It's worrying isn't it. Fingers crossed for you. Cat x

I had this from 6-10 weeks and even had a red bleed. Freaked me out but baby was fine. Mw said it could have been a broken blood vessel

I had a similar thing early on usually around when my period would have been due/ coming on.. so 7 weeks, 10 weeks. As a general rule the message I had from drs was brown discharge is ok but red isn't.. certainly doesn't stop you worrying though. For me it stopped when I hit the second trimmester (something to do with hormone levels I guess).

Sounds like your doing all the right things, try not to worry to much (hard to do though I know).

I've had this before it usually is one of those unexplainable things
