Hi all. I find out the babies sex next week (first pregnancy) and would like to tell my family in a way other than "it's a boy/girl!".

I have popping a balloon with blue or pink confetti in so far.

Please give me ideas or share how you told your loved ones the gender :)

We're planning on booking a scan to find out next week too (just waiting for dp to get his shifts!) So we're planning on giving our mums a present on Xmas day from bump that will reveal the sex (both dad's passes away unfortunately) Presuming you don't mind stereotypical blue/pink were thinking of either going to give them a xmas bauble filled with blue or pink glitter and tied with a ribbon of the same colour, or maybe a photo frame with scan pic inside and it's a girl/boy written across the top :)

Just hoping we can get a scan at the beginning of the week to give me chance to buy something in time for Xmas day!

If you Google/pinterest there are lots of lovely ideas.

We had the top tier of our wedding cake coloured pink, everyone found out when we cut the cake- but I was 18 weeks pregnant on our wedding day!

We told some people with a piƱata filled with pink confetti, cut up tissue paper, pink sweets and baby socks! They loved hitting it to find out.
Told my OH's parents with a gift box that we had put a pink teddy and a little miss princess mr men book.
